Day 3: June 7, 2017
The group started off the day in Blue Sheep, an organization ....... It was amazing to see Rachel give so much to this community and see what she did for the disabled community in Chengdu and Tibet. We helped her by taking photos of all of the products in the store, and we later met one of the leather carvers who visited the shop. After the Rachel's shop, Michael and Emily, our tour guides, took us to a Tibetan restaurant. On our way there, Michael was talking to Georgia and I and telling us that this restaurant was famous for its Yak meat dishes and told us Yak meat was slightly sour. When we got there, Ms. Monroe ordered Yak butter tea, fried yak with bread and potatoes, beef, vegetables, yak dumplings, and lamb dumplings. To be honest, in the beginning I was nervous and not excited about the yak meat, but it turned out to be really appetizing. After lunch, we went to an archaeology museum, which was really more of a park. It was beautiful, and it was really fun to walk around and observe each exhibition. We, then, went and put our bags down at our new hotel and wandered off to dinner by ourselves, where a group of people and I ended up eating at a local restaurant, and we got bubble tea after.
The day was overall really fun. We played mafia on the bus and after dinner, and I feel like the group got a lot closer today.
