Day 9: June 13, 2017

Today was a traveling day. We started the day off by getting off of the Victoria Cruise, and another tour guide took us on a bus to go see the dams. We then went through security and went up to the top to see everything, and we even went to the side of the dams to get a closer look. We then went to lunch, where they played the same Chinese song over and over again, but their eggplant dish was one of the best I've had so far on the trip. The lunch ended with a plate of blackberry looking fruits that tasted interesting and had seeds in the middle. After lunch, we went to the Three Gorges Museum, where we were shown jade artifacts that were on sale, and we found a really cool, small turtle made out of yellow jade. It was translucent when we held it up close to the light. We, then, took a short break at a mall to work on blogging and had time to walk around, and Georgia, Anna, Emily, and I got really cool graphic shirts from Uniqlo. We then went on a two hour plane ride from Yi Chang to Shanghai, which went by really quickly but was annoying because we couldn't listen to music/go on our phones. We finally had arrived to Shanghai and took a nice bus ride to our hotel and ended the night with a very drained and exhausted group of students.

High: finding out about the starbucks drink
Low: one contraction on the plane with max
Shoutout: Georgia, Anna, and Emily for having a fun time at the mall
